Yaron Deutsch Contemporary Electric Guitar Workshop and Master Class
TIME:SPANS 2022 invites guitarists and composers to join this symposium dedicated to the sonic and functional evolution of the electric guitar in contemporary classical music. Led by guitarist Yaron Deutsch, this marathon day will feature lectures, master classes, and a workshop addressing the works of internationally acclaimed composers who work closely with Deutsch.
A special feature of the symposium will be active participation. During the application process, which is now closed, Mr. Deutsch chose the participants:
Erich Barganier, Neil Beckmann, Alec Goldfarb, Kyle Miller.
The guitarists will work on the following pieces with Yaron Deutsch:
- Pierluigi Billone, Sgorgo Y (2012) — for electric guitar solo
- Enno Poppe, Fleisch, mvmt I (2015) — for sax, electric guitar, perc & piano
- Hugues Dufourt, La Cité Des Saules (1997) — for electric guitar solo
- Rebecca Saunders, Metal Bottle Necks (2018) — for electric guitar solo
