ANNOUNCING TIME:SPANS 2019
A CONTEMPORARY MUSIC FESTIVAL IN NEW YORK CITY
The Earle Brown Music Foundation Charitable Trust (EBMF) is pleased to announce TIME:SPANS 2019. Scheduled from August 10 to 28, 2019, TIME:SPANS 2019 will include sound walks by Christina Kubisch (Germany); a 2-week performance installation by Marino Formenti (Italy); and twelve concerts, performed by outstanding performers and ensembles specializing in new repertoire: Talea Ensemble (NYC), JACK Quartet (NYC), Bozzini Quartet (Montreal), NIKEL (Israel), Yarn/Wire (NYC), and Deerhoof (NYC) among others. TIME:SPANS is dedicated primarily to the presentation of twenty-first century music. The events will take place at The DiMenna Center for Classical Music, Goethe-Institut Library, and Wagner Park in Manhattan. The festival is produced and presented by EBMF. Artistic Director for TIME:SPANS is Thomas Fichter. The name TIME:SPANS is taken from the title of an orchestra piece by the American composer Earle Brown.
